Festool is currently offering its ETS 150/3 EQ Plus 6″ random orbital sander to first time Festool buyers who are bonifide wood workers (in the trade so to speak) for the unbelievable price of 59.00 with free shipping. This is the small orbit (1/8″) sander as opposed to the more aggressive 3/16″ orbit ETS 150/5 version. Check out their pricing on their website http://www.festool.com and compare this deal with normal cost.
The product is currently being shipped out of Virginia and takes about a week for delivery. The offer is only available at authorized Festool dealers and requires you to fill out a qualifiying application form. Payment by credit card is the fastest and easiest method. This special offer may not be available at all retailers.
* This sander requires non standard sanding disks but they are available through your Festool dealer and at competitive prices. These disks allow the advanced dust collection and paper cleaning technology to work properly. You can use any 6″ hook and loop paper if necessary. However, the dust collection and self cleaning system will not be active as designed. **
FYI – Distributors of Festool products are not allowed to alter prices so this means that you will get the same price quotes from every distributor. The only exception to the rule is the sale of in-store demo products.
My only benifit from this posting is that it may offer some of my fellow woodworking friends a once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of the finest made woodworking tools in the world.
Disclaimer – I take no responsibility for those of you who stop buying food for you families because you are saving up for your next Festool product. They are not cheap but once you own one, you’ll realize that any nay sayers are just jealous.
Enjoy…..
P.S. I bought the sander, and based on its performance and quality I bought the Jig Saw. I now have my sights set on the mid level vacum system and the new plunge router. I will be bringing those home tomorrow. Although the circular saw is attractive, I am not totally sold on it. I still like my Mag 77 with its aftermarket heavy duty plate.
While on that subject, if you’ve always wanted a Mag or HD 77 wormer then you should think about buying it now or it will probably be Blue rather than Red/Gray in the very near future.
Sincerely;

thanks for the heads up ,what a great price . i called my dealer and he vaguely remembers hearing a new promotional price. for the sander ,he needs that price from the web site, went through the web site and couldnt find a 59.00 quotable price , called festool there not open . so is there someplace i can go to get that price i can copy it and bring to my dealer scoured for 75 minutes no luck. if you have the specfic page with that price i would very much appreciate it. thanks again for the great heads up.......bear
Bear, if your Festool dealer does not have the info, he will need to get it from his Festool Rep. It is not available on the website or anywhere else.Sincerely;

will do..... thanks again."expectations are premeditated resentments"
Got my Festool C-22 5 1/2 gal vacumm today and tried out the new sander with it. The vacumm has a ton of optional equipment and you could spend a fortune equiping it. I do plan to replace the standard bag with the re-usable bag and add the tool kit, push handle, hose rack, air tool start switch and water proof filters. That will add a couple of hundred more to it but I think its a worthwhile expense if I leave a job cleaner than when I arrived. A reputation for cleanliness goes a long way and most of the time the bank is on the same route.
I would have brought home the new 2000 series router but a last minute customer wanted a demo and it was the only one we had. I'll have to wait until next week for that.Sincerely;

RE: Festool -- deal on RO sander
I just called a local dealer (a Woodcraft store); they knew about this promotion, but said it is no longer available. Apparently, so they say, it was good only while supplies were available, and now they're gone.
Does that square with what you know?
I ordered one a week ago Saturday - apparently one of the last available.
They've posted to my debit card but I haven't received it yet._________________________________

It could very well be that they are out. They were shipping out of Virginia I think and mine too about 10 days to arrive. I sent in an order for a fellow on Saturday and if they are out then I will probably get a call tomorrow. Sincerely;

I bought one at that great price and I've happily used it for the past month or so. It comes with a slew of dust free discs and I think Klingspore (sp?) fits identically.
I plan to use my old Porter Cable RO sanders only for rough work and safe the Festool for finish sanding.

Hi Tool Guy,
Amen on that Ryobi & Milwaukee. I plan on going on a buying binge sometime next week!
Those daring young men in their flying machines!
The special offer on the Festool sander ended last Friday. However, they have some other great incentive programs going on and you may want to talk to your dealers about their demo units. Chances are there are some pretty good discounts going on there also.
Sincerely;
The Tool Guy
