Triton TA1200BS Belt Sander

Black & Decker BDERO600 5-in. Random Orbit Sander
- Fair stock removal and dust collection without a vacuum - Fair stock removal and poor dust collection with a vacuum - Sander has a regular pulse in use - Paddle switch was awkward, but the on/off lock was handy - Comfortable, but cramped waist made holding there often uncomfortable - Slow to stop
Mullet High-Speed Cyclone Dust Collector
Mullet Tools has devised a slick single-piece cyclone/collection bin that hooks directly to a vacuum, allowing the cyclone to follow along like an obedient puppy. The two units can be quickly separated for cleaning. The Mullet cyclone bin is translucent, which makes it possible to see the sawdust level at a glance. And its 5-in. clean-out opening with a clear polycarbonate hatch makes emptying the bin quick and easy.
Lee Valley Pocket Marking Gauge
With a two-fence, double-ended design, you're able to set two distances on the same gauge. However, the small fences make this tool difficult to hold comfortably and securely against the edge of the work while scribing lines, requiring more focus and effort.
Diablo ‘SandNet’ 80 Grit Sanding Disc
Compared to other products, the SandNet 80 grit cuts slower. However, if you're working inside someone's home and need to start at this grit, you might want to trade speed for improved dust collection.

Doug: Makita made a portable for that saw, so you can rip up to 24inches. that saw has been discontinued for about 6 years now, so finding a portable may be hard to find, Roussoe made the portables for makita , maybe you can still get one from them, or check on E-Bay to see if someone is selling one. Good Luck
Rousseau makes lots of gizmos to expand portable tools. If you have a Tool Crib catalog around, take a look there. If not, here's the Amazon page.
forestgirl Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>) you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
