Of interest to me, noticed on the free Felder DVD was the use of a deflector to the off cut side of the blade, Has magnets and is used to keep the off cuts from successive cuts feeding away from the kick area. Is adjusted with nose in front of arbor next to blade wall.
Am thinking this may be a nice little safety unit for American TS use. Probably take all of ten minutes to make. Anyone seen this or made one?
thanks

BB,
I have seen a similar device used somewhere - probably in a book, possibly on making segmented bowls. It was shopmade, anyhow.

Boiler,
It's pictured in the Hammer catalog, part #420-260, $35.95 in the 2007 edition, so a bit more now. The magnets are on the under surface to hold it to the table, in position. Simple, effective.

Thats an Aigner knockoff. If you like neat safety devices you should take a look at some of the other Aigner devices. The europeans have quite few neat gadgets to meet their safety reqts. You can find them on the martin-usa dot com website.
