Dear Ernie: As you suggested previously, I have flattened my supply of very wavey crotch mahogany…but now I cannot deside which side should be the “show” side. Does it matter which side shows? If it does, how do I determine which is the correct side to show? As always, thank you for your help. Respectfully, Hadley

It does not matter, simply let your eye tell you. Think of the veneer as a very thin board. To book match you have to use opposite sides.
