I’ll admit, I was very impressed with Steve Latta’s work on the inlayed spice cabinet in the most recent FWW. I was also impressed with the clever tools that he used to create and apply the stringing. LN now supplies those tools at, admittedly, a fairly substantial cost but they look nice and I’ve been lusting after them a bit.
Has anyone tried these tools? Any musings about their function, value, etc?

I don't believe they are shipping yet. I held a few of them and watched Steve Latta use them at a recent LN show in the Boston area. Technically you could make your own versions of most of them but the LN versions will have a lot of refinements which make them useful for anyone who does a lot of inlay.
I haven't seen the videos which are also available from LN (Perhaps already shipping?) but the videos may give you several great hints how the tools are used before you purchase them.
You may buy a set or individual tools depending on your needs. After seeing them in action I will probably purchase at least some of the tools as I feel they are worth the money for the refinements and the time saved of making more of my own.
