Does anyone know how Charles and Ray Eames bent plywood for their chairs and forms?
Thanks,

They didn't bend the plywood, they made their own plywood by laminating thin pieces in the forms. The forms they used were very heavy sandwich style forms and required lots of clamping pressure.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Thanks. I guess I always knew that but was hoping there was a simpler solution. I guess my next question is were in S. Cal can I find resonable price 1/8th inch veneers?
Thanks again

For the inner plys you can try 1/8 in. Luan plywood, which is inexpensive, and spend more money on the visible exterior plys. S. Cal has a few lumber chains like MacBeath or Higgins. You might also try searching this website: http://www.woodfinder.com.- Matt
Anderson International (http://www.aitwood.com/) has bending plywood. It is easier to bend than conventional plywood.
