A few years ago I asked Oneida to manufacture their Dust Deputy in a more affordable medium so us professional hobbyists could justify it’s purchase and they listened. I positioned mine above my Rigid shop vac so I could reduce the foot print and connected it with black ABS pipe to increase airflow, leaving two joints press fit for easier emptying of the bucket. These work as advertised and are a true time and hassle saver.

I like your setup. In a review on one of the blogs the reviewer had it _beside_ the vacuum cleaner and it looked rather awkward, besides taking up too much space.
For those who want to build a cheaper separator that is almost as effective, google "Phil Thien".

Brownman,
I'm confused - both the input (ABS) and the outlet from the Dust Deputy appear to be connected to the vac. Am I missing something, or is it the Rigid vac? Where is the connection for the vac hose?
I have a Dust Deputy with a Fein vac and HEPA filter - I agree, it works as advertised.

Larry,I 'think' that's just how he stores the hose when not in use.........Rich
Richard, I was missing something - that makes sense for a portable setup. Thanks, Larry
Yeah, just how the hose is stored. I also took the wheels off, that come with the vac , as we all know the wheels that come with almost any piece of machinery are usually pretty worthless. I have a rather large box full of various sized wheels that have come off every piece of equipment that I have purchased.
