I have a Grizzly 2 horsepower dust collector with a 5″ port and would like to run a grounded 6″ PVC piping for a planer and drum sander. Rather than run 6″ pipe and reduce it to 5″ at the collector, can I retrofit a 6″ connection on the dust collector itself. I believe the collector has a vacuum rating of around 1300 cfm.
Thanks.

Which Grizzly do you have?
Are you sure, they normally come with a 6" inlet and removable Y's using 4" openings?
You will be better off with the 6" fitting, but sounds like more work.
I have a Grizzly G-1029 I believe. It has a 5" port with a connector with two 4" branches.
