Hi, the shop I work at recently got a used Dust Boy dust collecter given to us and we hooked it up to our router table. The problem Is that the dust bag collects more woodchips and dust than the barrel. It is almost a two to one ratio. Is this typical of this style collecter? Is there a way to fix or reduce the amount that gets in the bag? Thanks in advance.

I am assuming you have some form of trash can separator.
Both the inlet and outlet connections are close to the top so you don't get a lot of separation in the streams. Try extending the inlet down into the barrel a foot. This will force the dust to change directions before entering the exhaust stream. You will lose some drum capacity depending on how long you make the extension.
Depending on the size of both the collector and the barrel, you barrel may be undersized.
