Had two red woods cut down in my back yard and bucked into 8.5 ft lengths. Milled into mainly 2 x 8s. Anything special I should know about air drying redwood?
(PS. I have air dried cedar and generally know about air drying, but this redwood is so watery–water sometimes spirted out when the excavator grabbed a log–and has such huge growth rings–many half an inch–that I thought there might be something special about drying it.)
Thanks.

Stack, sticker, cover, and let it sit - just like any wood. Redwood is pretty soft and porus, so it will dry fairly quickly. It's also relatively straight grained so it shouldn't warp, twist, or cup too much.
