I’d like to cut some recessed cups in a table top so I can place some bottles and small parts (it’s a fishing fly tying station). What tool do I use? I looked at rosette cutters, but they have fancy details and I want the bottom to be smooth. Forstner bits would have 90deg angles at the bottom and I’m looking for something with a radius edge.
Thank you, in advance

Dish carving bit
Try something like a dish carving bit . Cut a hole in plywood, mdf etc and use as a template to guide the router. May have to fit a big base on the router to stop it falling into the hole
