I have a Rockwell/Delta 1/2″ floor model (15-655) that kills my back when I raise and lower the table. Does anyone know a way to change/alter/add/modify my drill press so I can raise and lower the table such as buying the parts from a newer model that has the worm gear/track system on the post???????????????

Hey Teager.
We rigged up a system for the drill press and our shop that uses a crank-style jack to raise and lower the table, probably for the same reason you want something new. I wasn't around when it was made so I don't have any immediate advice, but I'll snap a photo tomorrow morning and post it here with as many details as I can.
