Good Morning,
I will be building a couple built-ins for my house and I don’t really feel like building 10 doors and ~14 drawer fronts. I am looking for a Co. that will allow me to order custom sizes in unfinished state (prob. Shaker design). The higher the quality the better, to a point.
Thanks, TWG.

I ordered some doors from Rockler a couple of years ago and they were fine. One tall narrow door was warped, but they replaced it. Check their catalog - a wide variety of woods and profiles.
TWG,
I would try a local cabinet shop in PA, but if you can't find somebody or the right price check out cabinetdoorshop.com. I know a guy who had very good luck with them and they were reasonable and are used to shipping stuff.
Terry
Thanks for you suggestions.
There are a couple large cab shops nearby.

There are more and more companies set up these days to build custom doors and drawers. And most of them are doing very good work at a very reasonable price.
I haven't used these people myself, but many at Breaktime have and rave about their quality, price and service:

EDIT: I just googled "custom cabinet doors PA" and literally got a million hits.

I was going to mention the Cabinet Factory, but they're now known as Walzcraft. On the rare occasion that their work was sub par, their customer service made up for it, replacing everything at their cost.Highly recommend.
Thanks again for more help.
I've submitted some specs to two local shops but am still considering all options. These two locals seem to be doing well w/out my business.
I have seen some Walzcraft work bf and have been impressed.
After looking at a couple quotes for drawer boxes I may sub those as well. I'm not fast at cutting dt's and 14 drawers would take longer than my wife would likely wait bf leaving me. Otherwise, it would be rabbets or box joints.
TWG.
TWG,
I would second TerryLee's recommendation about cabinetdoorshop.com.
I bought a little over $8000 in doors/drawer fronts from them last year. The only problem I had was I had a door that was not supposed to drill and they drilled it for the 35mm hinge cups. They replaced it right away at no cost. You can get a quote via email.
They also have dovetail drawers. In fact, the drawers with the blumotion undermount slides are only a small amount more than what you would pay for the slide itself (they get a really good discount from blum and pass it on). No affiliation with them, I just think their service and product is top notch.
Good luck,
Lee
P.S.
I just checked Walzcraft's website, and if I am reading it correctly, they only sell to cabinet shops and cabinet refacers. You have to give them a federal tax id# to get pricing info from them. Kind of sucks for the guy who just wants a few doors and doesn't own his own business. I did send off for an info packet though, so I can see how their prices compare to cabinetdoorshop.com's

Thanks Maple,
I will be sure to get a quote from the cab. door shop and I imagine the blumotions would be cool.
Fortunately, I do have a fed ID and the built-ins can be used as demos of my work. I will be interested in comparing the locals, cab. door. and Walz's.
TWG,
No problem. Let us know how it turns out.

The Cabinet Factory (Walzcraft) fabricates hard Maple half-blind dovetail drawer boxes for short money, too. They're cheaper than in-house costs, that's for sure.
TW,
Holy Smokes Batman!
Just got the pricing packet from Walzcraft. Ya better have deep pockets if you go with them. They seem to be 1 1/2 as much as some of the others I have dealt with. But they have a much larger selection and wood species to pick from (curved doors as well - very cool)
Cheers,
Lee
I noticed that. Unfortunately, Walzs' are the only ones I've seen and it was nice stuff. The hard maple drawers are appealing to me.
I may try a couple small orders (1 door, 1 drawer) from a couple different internet places if they would let me. I will see the locals' work first hand.
TW,
Try asking them for "sample" doors and drawer fronts. These can usually be had for a 20-30% discount, although you may not be able to specify the exact sizes. I do that w/ cab door shop when I get a customer that wants something like a painted/glazed finish so they can see an example before I "pull the trigger" on the spray gun.
