Does anyone have the following table saw? Any opinions from somebody that ACTUALLY has one?
I have used a variety of Grizzly tools so please don’t tell me they are junk. Far from it with my experience with the ones I have used. It is Ok to tell me it is junk if you give good reasons. Fair enough?
I am considering ordering one. Yes, I should get a SawStop, but not available with a check I can write without it bouncing! I like my current saw ALOT (Yes a big Box one) that does everything I want and then some. I want something with a riving knife in this price class.

Not sure there are any actual owners yet........ some posts on another board said the G0690/691 wouldn't arrive till the end of the month.
will,
don't own that saw but i have three pieces of grizzly equipment. i've had the g1023 since 1987. it is no exaggeration to say that saw has paid for itself many thousands of times over. i also have their 12" planer and their 3hp shaper.
back when i first bought all this stuff the only complaint i had was about the service manuals that came with the machines. they were all written in very bad english and were pretty much unintelligible. they were also hysterically funny. when i read an exerpt over the phone to the service rep, he even started laughing.
sorry i didn't respond to your query.

I kept the manual from a small Grizzly milling machine because I get a good laugh from it. It is written in pidgeon english, the downloaded manual for the same machine is fine. It is written in clear english.I have several other grizzly machines, these manuals are clearly written.

Dear Will,
That looks an awful lot like (my) PM66 with a different paint job. I'd buy it.

The G0690 looks to be nearly identical to the Laguna Platinum...perhaps some owners of that saw can help expand your list of qualified owners. The G0690 also looks to have a similar trunnion system to the 1023 but with the addition of a riving knife.
FWIW, I've got a Shop Fox W1677 that's essentially identical to the G1023SL that I've generally been pleased with. It doesn't come with a riving knife, but there is an aftermarket "BORK" (bolt on ripping knife...aka riving knife) available for it. I've also been happy with my Grizzly DC and Grizzly jointer.
Good luck!

I would buy that saw in a second. I don't own one but I have a Grizzly lathe and a spindle sander that work very very well. I have found Grizzly to offer a good value and a very reasonable price.
Will:
I recently purchased a 1023 left tilting Griz and own a Griz 1071 Osc Spindle Sander. Both, in my humble opinion are good quality pieces. I don't think you can go wrong. But hey!, thats why there are numerous choices, because we all have opinions (and budgets) that we feel are right for us. Good luck with your new Griz.
Will,
I just bought that same saw, won't arrive for another week or so. I did alot of research and for the price it was the best I could find. Good luck with your choice. Chalky
i have Grizzly GO555, 14" bandsaw, for a year and i am very happy with it !
I've got the G0696X (12 inch version of that saw).. Not a single problem in the past 5 years with it..
Hi Will.
I, too, have the RIDGID TS3650 and want to step up to a cabinet saw. I've been trying to find people who have the new Grizzly, but it's just too new. I did find a guy at the Woodnet forums however, who just put his together and posted a few pictures.
Let us know what you decide. If I get the Grizzly before you do, I'll post some pics.
