Does anyone ever get the feeling that this finishing thing is not worth the effort?
I have ruined several sets of acrylic nails, applied by a lovely girl at my wifes beauty salon.
Rubbed my fingers to the bone with sand paper, dryed my skin out with white spirit ( or was that the vodka?) And the cost is totaly prohibitive. For example using my wife’s old vests to buff up, and apply wax costs me an arm and a leg replacing them.
I am considering using a finisher for my furniture, especially the complicated stuff. I dread getting any areas which are not quite right. No one else can see them except me, but when the item is just to the left of the TV screen, it sort of keeps drawing your eye to the little dull patch that wasn’t there when the sun was shining on it two hours ago. So I get up and give it a rub. Fine. Then I see another blemish that cathches my eye, but is it realy there???????
. My Den is full to the rafters with furniture worth millions of $ due to this problem.
I am considering sending everything out to be professionally finished from now on!
What do you think???
