Has anyone had experiences, good or bad, with the Dispoz-a-Blade system? This is the knife system made by Esta that’s supposed to make blade changing a snap (literally).
I’m thinking of installing one of these on my 6″ jointer.
Here’s what I’m talking about:

I have the system on both my jointer and shaper, and it certainly makes blade changing easier. Kind of pricey to get set up, but extra blades are reasonably priced. I bought mine from Grizzly, but I imagine they are about the same price from any dealer.
After finding that the adjustment screws have to be completely re-set from scratch when changing the blades in my Powermatic 8", I purchased the kit you mention and am satisfied. While "foolproof" it still is necessary, at least on my jointer, to move the positioning magnets to the left edge of the knife slot (furthest from the gib screws) so they are in a consistent position. Before doing so the blade height was not constant. It's also necessary in my case to hold down the blade and holder while tightening the gib screws. With these two small additional steps the last blade change was fast and easy.
