This is a quick question from a real rookie…
Our dining room table caved in yesterday when we were removing the leafs (about an hour after our guests left thank God). Anyway, I’d like to replace the broken wood rails with steel ones but have no idea where to look for them.
Any suggestions???

I would think that Van Dykes has them.

Jim,
A local Rockler or Woodcraft store will probably have them in stock. Otherwise, you will find unlimited choices runing a Goggle search.
Doug
Lee Valley will also have what you need.
This might be an excuse for you to build a new table instead of repairing the old one.
just a thought.
Jim,
Rockler will have everything you need. This is a link to the table hardware section of their web site.

Properly installed, most any hardwood rails will last a century. Using the old ones for templates, you'll save a lot of $$ by replacing with wood.
