Dewalt brad nailer – too many blanks – FIX
I have had a Dewalt brad nailer, model D51238, for any number of years. Right from the beginning I thought it fired too many blanks; a second squeeze might be needed.
Now that I am needing it more it is for sure a problem as well as a headache. Before I toss it I thought I would toss the problem to the forum. Is it me??
I clean it, oil it, use the right brads, have the pressure set correctly. Am I missing the obvious? Everything looks right at the nose.
Your insight will guide my next move.

Shooting Blanks
I am having a similar issue with a Bostitch brad nailer. I only have it with one size brads (1 1/8" I think), all of the others shoot fine. I think it has something to do with the nails not being cut correctly on that size. It is very fustrating to think you have something nailed on and see it fall off.
Are you haveing the problem with all of you nail sizes?
Let me know what you find out, maybe you can solve both of our problems.
