The Denver WW show is this weekend. It is much improved over the last couple of years, but still not up to the best years. The “Dubby” man was there again after missing a few years. Still working hard to show off his product. LV was there with an excellent booth. LN was not. Cook Hardwoods of Oregon was there with a semi trailer full of exotic woods. They just parked the trailer in the show room.
There were a lot of people attending. Perhaps this is a good sign for business.
Best regards, Tom.

Tom,
I bought a Dubby from "the Dubby Man" = Jerry Cole many years ago. It was a good purchase.
Lie Nielsen has stopped doing the woodworking shows altogether and is doing their own shows. If you get on their website, you can see where their future shows will be. They have had two down here in the Washington DC area in the last six months. I went to both and enjoyed them. They sold a lot of tools.
We have a big woodworking show near Dulles airport every March. LV still comes to it and has a great display. The Dubby guy, Jerry Cole is always there. I don't think he ever gets back to Boston. I once called to ask a question and the secretary patched me through to him. He was driving from one show to another.
The woodworking shows are getting smaller. But I enjoy them.
Glad yours was fun.

Tom,
Did you get to take in any seminars? That's one big improvement over last year the organizers wanted to focus on: more seminars. I think they did a good job, but being there to work the shows, I didn't have a chance to take in any. Do you remember who was working the LV booth?

Hi, Chris,
I did take in one seminar on finishing, which focused on prep work. He also covered a lot of in shop hints. There weren't many pearls of wisdon. I didn't stay around for the second seminar on spraying, because I was getting tired of the background noise. The other seminars seemed to all have good attendance.I don't know the names of the LV people. Sorry about that. They were really busy with a lot of customers.Tom.
Tom, I agree. The WWS really fell-off after it changed ownership and, as a result, I stopped attending. This year, however, was a lot better than in previous years. I think I'll plan on attending next year.
