I am going to be in Denver (lakewood) for two weeks during May. Any hardwood or tools store, I should see while I am there (within a 100 miles)?

In Lakewood is Tool King - their prices in store are often cheaper than online. They have a lot of machinery (jointers, planers, tablesaws). They carry Powermatic, Sawstop, Jet, Steel City, Delta, Dewalt, Festool etc. One of the few places you can compare all of the major cabinet saws side by side. They are also a Rockler partner and have some Rockler items.
There are two Woodcrafts and a full Rockler franchise within 20 miles or so of Lakewood.
For wood, check out Austin Hardwoods and Frank Paxton lumber.
Wellll it is a little further than 100 miles but I don't want you to say why didn't you tell me any way :

Nice quiet drive once you get south of Pueblo. There was so little traffic I used to ride my bicycle on the Interstate Highway for fifty miles one way. ( yep it is legal )
