Friends,
My son sent me a website with a long set of images of the nameplates (eg Craftsman) for old woodworking tools. It won’t solve all of your woodworking problems, but it is an interesting site, and might prove useful if you are reworking an old tool.

Remember, “There is no tool like an old tool.” I love sayings like that. They sound like they have a deep meaning, but they don’t. I came across one the other day that I had never heard.
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift.
That is why we call it the present.
If you are looking for a sign to carve, that one will take you a while.
Have fun.

BB,
Thanks for saying that. My oldest son, who is a computer whiz, sent me a one line message with that web page. I have bookmarked the page because it just might come in handy someday. Besides I like old tools.
Have fun.
