Just thought I would share.
I’ve been cleaning up a few rusty items. I gotten tired of reaching in the vat of Evapo-rust. It’s hell on my manicure. View Image So I started using the plastic net bags that the onions, potatoes and garlic come in. I can suspend them in the vat and pull them out based on when I dropped them in. Keeps parts separated from different items as well.

Great idea, Len, though I'll not swallow the line about the manicure. ROFL! Nick's over in Eastern WA for a couple days, he picked up a gallon for me at Harbor Freight in Richland. I thought they were selling it for $9.99/gal., but he said it's $19.99 now. I should have been more frugal with that big can full I bought a few years ago.
I might as well give away all my secrets. Now that everyone knows about my manicure. View Image
CLR (Calcium Lime Rust) cleaner works as well. The important thing is to dilute the CLR. I've been putting 4:1 or 5:1 ratio, water to CLR. It may appear that it's not working. Just take a nylon brush or some steel wool and clean the part. I made a solution that was about 10:1 in a 30 gallon trash can to soak the bandsaw castings. It worked like a charm. I did have to leave it soaking longer checking it about every eight hours. CLR costs $20 a gallon at HD. Len
