Stumbled across this in the Woodworkers Supply catalog. I know the chances of anyone using one are probably slim. However, looking for any thoughts on whether or not something like this would negatively affect airflow/overall efficiency of my Dust Collector. I contacted Wood. Supply and they told me the “skirt” is made of nylon. Not sure if this is pertinent information??? It sure does seem like a viable alternative to unhooking/hooking up that darn lower collection bag on my DC.

Any comments/thoughts much appreciated. thanks

It looks reasonable, but pricy for what you get. Someone on woodnet recently posted something like this: he cut part of his old crummy filter bag to fit between a trashcan and the DC, and painted it with latex paint to make in impermeable to air. All he needed was the bandclamp, and if I recall correctly, he had that anyway because the top bag had been replaced with a cartridge.
