There is a PM 66 with sliding attachment for sale on Craigslist. The guy claims he doesnt know much about it. A tenant left it when he was evicted. I would buy, but I am sure that the boss (wife) wouldnt let me spend the $$.

Ben,
Are you a member of any of the Washington area woodworker clubs:
The Washington Woodworkers Guild
The Capital Area Woodturners
The Northern Virginia Carvers?
Do you live anywhere near Burke, VA?
What kind of woodworking do you do.

Mel,
I am in Culpeper. Not a member of any clubs yet. I just started about a year ago, but I am hooked. I build a little of everything. I am still in the tool aquisition period of my woodworking. I am currently looking for a mortiser, and spindle sander. Where are you buying your lumber? Do you shop at Vienna Hardwoods?

If you are in cCulpeper, you need to visit Chris Johnson. He's in Elkwood, 21457 Business Ct tel 937-3059 "call before you come"

Ben,
Culpepper is not so far from Burke. I am six miles West of Springfield, on Rt 644, Old Keene Mill Rd. Let me know when you will be coming over to Vienna Hardwood or anywhere near here, and stop over to my place, if you'd like. I would be happy to tell you about all of the woodworking places around here.About wood stores:You already know about John at Vienna Hardwood. That is one of my favorite places. John is a great guy, and his prices are the best around. His stock is not predictable, but he always has some good stuff. I go there when I don't know what I want, and am looking for something to catch my eye. If you want the most professional wood store in the area, it would be NOrthland Forest Products in Manassas, VA. Their website is:
http://www.northlandforest.com/Northland is like the Home Depot of wood. A big place with palets reaching up to the ceiling. Lots of stock in everything you can think of, and they let you pick out the boards you want. This is my "go to" place if I need a lot of wood of a given type. They always have it, and lots of it. Great guys there. The Cathedral of wood, is near Dulles Airport. IT is called Dunlap Woodcrafts. Their website is:
http://www.dunlapwoodcrafts.com/These guys have the best of the best -- the most expensive wood. They ship all over the world. This is where you go when you want fiddleback quality curly maple or highly figured walnut or or or or or. They do their own drying in their own kiln. How is that for a start? I've got lots of info for you. I will try not to overload the channel.Keep writing.

Mel,
Thanks for the info. I will definitely stop by sometime. I mostly shop at C.P. Johnson's here in Culpeper, but I go to Vienna Hardwoods when I need something that Chris does'nt stock.
