Danford,
I haven’t been to knots since the beginning of the Summer and unfortunately haven’t worked in my shop for the same amount of time but like an old piece of luggage the desire keeps pulling me back.
This is like going back to the old neighborhood after moving away for a while. I hope that you are still around, I enjoyed your posts and learned a lot from you (as well as many others).
I hope to hear from you and the rest soon.
Will

MR. Jennings, please post ! We are all wondering where you went. How the heck are things up north of the golden state.
I think I might have the explanation for his absence.
Danford's birthday was in July, and some wiseguy gave him a #7 jointing plane by Lie-Nielsen. He immediately announced he was sending it back - had no need for it with all of his pre-war Stanleys. But secretly, that night, he took it down to his shop, removed the plane from the box, and slid it over a piece of cherry. The results were amazing. In fact, they were so amazing that he has become a Lie-Nielsen evangelist, touring the country from woodworking show to woodworking show, singing the praises of the entire L-N product line. That's why he's been absent from Knots.
If he's around, that should get his attention.
Mark, I see you remember Dano well and yes if he is around, lurking quitely, there is no way that he will be able to resist posting a response - nice little trap you layed ;)

Really? I keep my L-N #7 in a drawer so nobody will see it and lock the shop door when I'm using it. Then, I tell people I get all of my tools from Harbor Freight. Can't be too careful, you know.
What is it a full moon aready do I have to put garlic back on my monitor :>) At Darkworks we measure twice cut the cheese once
