My son has a job to cut a finished laminant door in half to provide one of those half doors for sales. Any suggestions on cutting it? Thanks Harry

Do you mean a hollow core door?
John W.
No it is apparantly solid door. Thanks for the warning. Harry
I'd clamp some waste to both sides to minimise tearout.
What JohnWW is implying is that if it's a hollow core door, you may find it isn't worth the trouble to try to cut it since there's only cardboard honeycomb in the center part. I suppose you could go ahead and cut it and fit in a filler piece on each section though if that's the case.

Well, it depends on what the door is made from but one suggestion would be to cut it with a router. I've made some nice cuts by clamping a straight edge to the material and taking shallow passes with a spiral carbide bit.
Good luck!
For a 3/4 to 1" thick cabinet door he should use a table saw and a HiATB saw blade with 80T and low hook angle. Many manufacturers offer these for laminates and veneers. The Freud versions are the LU79R010 (thin kerf) and the LU80R010 (full kerf).
