Hi all!
I’m looking for examples of a specific type of crown moulding to be applied to a cabinet I am presently building. Essentially it is composed of a simple cove profile in the centre with ogee type profiles above and below. The cove is incised with a repetative string of gothic style arches. If anyone knows what the proper term is for this type of profile and can point me to where to find examples I would be most appreciative.
Thanks

sounds like egg and dart moulding
Muz,
Try Enkeboll Designs. Super high quality moldings at sky high prices, but they may have what you are looking for.

Sounds like egg & dart to me also, try ornamental moldings, don't tell anyone you heard it from me but Home Depot carriers it.
good luck

http://www.mouldings.com has a number of deep relief mouldings. One may be the one you are looking for.

You should be able to buy just the egg and dart as an element and do a built-up molding if you cannot find exactly what you are looking for as a single piece of molding.
Take care, Mike
