I’m currently building a crib from walnut and came upon a crossroad when attempting to join the 2 3/4″ x 3/4″ rails to the corner posts of the crib. I’m trying to research what joining options are available. I would like to conceal the joinery if at all possible but at the same time using bolts instead of screws due to how often the crib will be dismantled. At this moment I have almost conceeded to using KD bolts that are recessed in the side of the post, completed with a bed bolt cover. I have tried the method on scrap material and it holds firm, however I would like something a little less obvious. Maybe it turns out it’s wishful thinking.
I’ve attached a very poor image of a completed end rail section with the outward facing posts. These would be the posts that would have the four (one for each rail) 3/4″ counter sank (forstner bit) holes with associated cover. Grateful for any suggestions

Your Solution on your Crib
Hi Rudy135 did you get a solution from anyone or what solution did you end up going with, any post or pic would be great. I am at the same position looking for a solution for my crib.
Thanks
David
