Hi,
I restore and sell Vintage Woodworking Machinery (smalltime) and am working on an arbor assembly for a Vintage, 8″-9″ Craftsman Table Saw. The gentleman that needs it, says there has been some discussion on some of these sites regarding it, and am wanting to know if there is somewhat of a demand for this item, or other items of this sort. I had seen some discussion regarding the later models, not having a long enough arbor to install a wide enough stacked dado blade. It would be more cost effective to build more than 1 of these items, if the demand was there.
Appreciate your feedback !

What model number saw did you have in mind to make a new arbor for? Would you make it 1/2" or 5/8" diameter? A lot of the older saws were fairly lightweight, they would be stressed spinning a 3/4" thick dado set.

Hi John,
Thanks for the reply. The specific model number is 103.22160, but I think it will work on a lot of others, but I don't have the numbers at this time. I would make it 5/8", so it will definitely solve on big problem. I know those saws would have a hard time swinging the big blade, but it may swing a 6" stack ok for that once-in-a-while situation, and it wouldn't hurt to be a little longer anyway. Depending how this went, there a a million of the Contractor Models out there that could use the longer arbor. Its not that I am a gigantic Craftsman fan......the arbor deal is just what I happen to be working on right now.
