Craftsman Table Saw Fence Recall

Craftsman has recalled approximately 41,800 rip fences included on their benchtop table saws (model number 137.21830) citing as the hazard the chance that the fence can come loose, resulting in kickback and injury. Though Sears has received 230 reports of the rip fence bracket coming loose, no injuries have been reported. The saw models included in the recall were sold in Sears stores nationwide from August 2002 through November 2004.

Sears will provide free replacement parts with instruction to consumers. Contact the Sears Craftsman Helpline at 800-843-1682.
