Hey,
I’m looking at purchasing a new compound mitre saw and I’m leaning toward the Rigid 10″. Any comments good or bad or perhaps something better. I just got rid of a 4 year old Delta that I was not that happy with.
Cheers

I have used Hitachi, Craftsman, Makita, Bosch, and DeWalt.
The DeWalt is my least favorite becasue it is hard to in a small increment of degrees. It does not hold the vertical angle very well.
My favorites are the Makita and Hitachi. All I own today are Makita.
When I looked at some new ones recently most of them would not hold the vertical or horizontal angles very well when tugged on. A lot of them were flimsy when I pulled sideays on the handle.
Thanks for the info gb

Three thumbs up for the Hitachi C10FSH. Very solid machine available with and without a laser.

Hitachi or Makita, flip a coin. I own a Hitachi 8 1/2" and a 10". No complaints about either one. The DeWalt is OK, but not as refined. The Makita is SWEET. If I had to do it again, that would be my choice.

I've been using the Rigid 1290LZ for two years or so. It's great. The only thing I don't like is it's weight. If you need it to be portable get the msuv to move it around.I noticed them on sale for 99.00 the other day at HD. When I purchased mine they were 199.00. I cringe every time I think about it. The 1290LZ is going for about five something. Well worth the money for what you get.
We use the makita 10" dual compound an it's a dream. My fench is ever so slightly bellied but other than that it is solid smooth and about as portable as they get- good balanced handle placement, and fits well on the horses! I've used the hitachi b4 and it was also just what we expected-easy as pie although i like the blue one better than the green!
Hi all Thanks for all the info I went with the Hatachi and I love it Thanks again for all the input. You all are a great resource.
Cheers
