Hello!
I am not a woodworker, nor a carpenter. I am just a layman, fascinated by creative and talented people like you craftmen.
I wanted to know if you know how to make a small revolving book-case which usually sits near a couch or in the lounge to store books. It has 4 sides, one “leg” with three or four “feet” to rest and it can revolve around to show books put on three or so shelves on each side. Each side is simply decorated, not plain. On top there is a flat area (the top of this “revolving box”) which is a cleverly designed space to put a cup of tea, a mug of coffee, a pen, whatever. It’s made in England, originally, I think.
It helps a reader to keep some books and enjoy reading while sitting on a couch/sofa instead of watching TV. I don’t know the name of such a piece of furniture and I have seen it only once at a friend’s house. It can be a kind of revolving coffee table/coffe bookcase.
Well, just curious if you heard about it.

Sandro,
A picture would help, if you have one....?
But I think I know what you mean - an oblong box, semi-open of four sides for the books, stood on end and perched on a spindle/leg stand a bit like the bottom half of a Shaker candle stand table. Such things are common in British bookstores.
The revolving bit is a lazy susan (two concentric metal rings with captured ball bearings between them) that sits between the box and the leg assemblies.
The ones in bookstores get worn and creak a bit. Also, it is common for two customers to stand on opposite sides of the thing, each trying to revolve it in the opposite direction to the other. Most amusing.
I imagine you could make one for a domestic home by keeping the box bit short, so that the top was at elbow height for a sitting person and could serve as a small table top.
