Hi —
I’m a new woodworker, looking to meet some more experienced folks in the Redmond area. Are there any groups in Seattle’s Eastside area, anyone who can point out good stores, classes, etc.? I’m just outfitting a shop, and while I’m not exactly lost, there are more than a few questions bubbling around in my head. My email’s john at pcpix.com, but of course I’ll check back here.
Thanks!
— John

A friend was taking classes in the evenings at one of the high schools with a very well equipped wood shop. I think it was Sammamish or Issaquah. I can ask if you want.
I don't think I could make it to regular classes in Issaquah --- I have five kids, and I've just got to find something a bit closer. :)
Thanks!
Hi John, I can't help you with eastside stuff, but just wanted to let you know there's a pretty good contingent of Puget Sound people here, including moi from Bainbridge Island. We had a big party at Tom's place in Fremont last April and might be able to get a semi-regular thing going after summer rolls up. I'll put you on the contact list!
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
