I’ve discovered a cheap glue pot (maybe others have also). Go to Wally World or Target etc. and get yourself a 1-1/2 qt. slow cooker. I picked mine up at WW for $5.95 and have been using it for several months now.
Works great and you can even take the pot right to your work without having to unplug it, just take the pot and leave the heater sit. Pot will stay warm for quite awhile.

Wow! That's as cheap as Goodwill, LOL! There was a huge thread last year about ways to heat glue -- slowcooker was one of the top-dogs. I have kept, hidden in a cupboard, a slowercooker bought in the 1960's, gawdawful orange color with brown Teflon inside, just because it comes in handy for such stuff.

Hey! Careful before you take that to the shop and get glue on it. Fondue has made a comeback, why not crockpots?
i will have to get two. one for glue and one for an t and t finish
one for an t and t finish
Do you mean that you heat your Tried and True finish? Does this make it go on easier?

While it is not mentioned on many finish containers, applying it warm does make it go on better. Tried and True works much better after it is heated in a glue pot. Thos. Moser Company, the furniture maker, uses a 2 coat boiled linseed finish on all his products and it is sprayed on warm. I suspect finish manufacturers don't mention it because you will have folks heating finishes over a direct flame. Glue pots and steam pots work best - Moser uses linseed oil by the drum and they have an electric drum heater. And it really makes a difference in application.
yes I do,
I got nacho containers at sams and use them to hold the finish, this way I can heat it in the microwave and when I am done, I just through it away. the slow cooker will make this easier then the microwave.
