I recently installed a set of Carter micro adjust guides on my Delta band saw. Question I have is..Do I adjust the guide so the blade is tight against the side roller bearings. I set the guide so it was pinching the blade right behind the teeth but found that the bearing kept loosening when I run the saw. Any tips on setting with the Carter guides would be helpful. Thanks

I installed those years ago and am very pleased with them. I believe the instructions say to bring them up to within a paper thickness width from the blade. And just to the outside of the blade channel(don't know if that is the correct terminology). Mine have never wandered after being tightened.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Peter
I have had them on a Delta 14" for years and love them. Set them with a new dollar bill as clearance and the bearing just behind the gullet of the teeth. They may be getting loose due to the blade touching but I have never had that problem, tighten them well. Make sure your blade is on the wheel crown and not riding on the thrust bearing with no load.
