I have custom cheery kitchen and master bath cabinets installed about 10 years ago in during a remodeling project. The cabinet maker used a water based laquer that soon developed a milky, and some cases rough, surface where the surface came in contact with moisture or high humidity such as on the wood surfaces near the ceiling in the bathroom.
What is my best approach to refinishing to achieve a long lasting finish?. About 1/3rd of the surfaces have the milky bloom whereas the remaining surfaces could stand a touch up.

Hello wnutter,
Sorry for the delay in responding to your question. I moved it into Peter Gedrys folder. He's our refinishing expert.
Thanks, Gina
