I’ve been casting about looking for euro-style hinges that will hold a door open, but with the vast variety of hinges I haven’t been able to sort through them all. I have three upper cabinets over the kitchen sink where I want to mount the doors to flip up (think airplane overhead compartment) instead of open out. The hinge would need to hold the door up (open) until it is lowered with light hand pressure. Anybody heard of such a thing?

Blum makes several types of what they call the Aventos.

They are all expensive, but work wonderfully well.
