Is it "budding", "budinga", or Bubinga? Regardless, I use Beheln's Rock Hard Table Top varnish, available through Garrett Wade. They sell a reducer that goes with it. You'll need to sand the brush marks out between coats, it doesn't level very well. But it is resistant to scratches, alcohol, and doesn't ring.
