HAS ANYONE USED BISQUIT JOINERY TO ATTACH TABLE TOPS? IF SO, WHICH METHOD DID YOU USE FOR ATTACHING THE TOP TO THE LEGS, A TWO OR FOUR BISQUIT? WILL THIS AFFECT THE NATURAL EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION OF THE WOOD?

Biscuits alone won't do it. Biscuits and gravy are best.
Yes, the biscuits will sock the top down too tightly.
You can attach the top to the apron with cabinetmaker's buttons or tabletop clips.

Thanks for the input. I have used the figure 8 clips and sliding dado with the grain, seems to keep things in control. A friend of mine asked this question and didn't know if it was the right choice. Will let him know. He was making a small bedstand out of pine, with 2 inch square legs, and one shelf.
please stop shouting...
Biscuits, as Boss said, work well here. But I prefer figure 8 or metal clips on top to leg connections.
