The head on the stock DeWalt miter guage I’ve been using has some slop in it, espically when I use a long aux fence. I’ve not been able to tighten the head to the bar, it seems to be rivited.
I’ve decided to improve my accuracy with a precision miter guage. The Kreg KMS 7102 looks very good on paper.
Anyone have experience with this tool? Are there others worth considering? Thanks for the input.

Home made miter and cross cut sleds. Fixed angles work great because, well, they are fixed. You can make dozens for the price of that after market gage and have more usefulness.
I've had the kreg for 6 months- bought it on sale for 139.00- I love it. Buy it from a Woodcraft so you can return it if you don't love it- I bet you keep it

I swapped out the DeWalt with the Woodhaven Deluxe miter gauge. Very sturdy. I would buy it again.
I have the Jessem and it is a thing of real beauty. Expensive but I've never had a moments regret about buying it. Built like a tank....beautifully machined....easy to use...accurate. Great product.

Right now the best on the market is the Jessum, I have the Incra 1000, Will be up grading to the Jessum when $$ permit. IMHO

JDS makes an aftermarket miter gauge that might be worth a look. It is well made and performs reliably. I've not used others so I don't know how JDS compares to the others mentioned in this thread.
I have the Kreg and it works just fine for me. If you purchase one, make sure to pick up some 1/4-20 x 3/4 hex bolts, nuts, and flat washers to attach a sacrificial fence.
I've the JessM and really like it. I have the JoinTech sled, too and still use it on occassion, but really like the JessM.
