best mini router/laminate trimmer
I’m looking for a small laminate trimmer/router to do cut some stopped dadoes to make dividers in a box I’m making. I’m pretty sure the reviews I read a while ago indicated that Bosch was the best and Makita was good too, but I thought I’d see if any of you had anything to ad.

Bosch colt worked for me as long as it was upright. Holding it sideways to do door mortises discovered a huge flaw: sawdust would get behind the switch and prevent you from turning the router off.
Returned the Colt and got a DW. Noisier and less accurate (I find it doesn't hold a 90 very well). I'd try the Makita before the DW, if I were you.
Hi Jeremy,
I bought a Porter-Cable 310 laminate trimmer, the unit is really more of a mini-router than a laminate trimmer, which is find because that's what I use the machine for. Nicest feature of the 310 is the depth control, which is really a lot like the depth control on the venerable PC 690 routers. The 310 is totally 'old school' everything is metal except for the Bakelite top, no electronic control here. Put on one of Pat Warners (aka. Routerman) clear Lexan offset bases on the unit, for small jobs I like the unit a lot.
Good luck
