Has anyone else had problems with the threads becoming very tough to use on K Body clamps after a few years of use. I haven’t been able to find a lubrication that works well for very long. I’ve tried silicon and white lithium grease but neither seem make the screw threads work as smoothly as the clamps did when the were new. It seems as though they come with a rubber type coating on threats that doesn’t hold up all that well. I’ve got about 16 of these things and like them well except for the threads don’t function all that smoothly after a few years of use. It seems like my pipe clamps just need a quick shot of grease and they work like new again. Anyone have any other suggestions that may help. I may have to start trying some of the Cabinet Master Clamps in the future.
Aaron.

My collection of K clamps are about 5 years old, and I've only had one problem, totally self-inflicted. I glued a large batch of cedar for outdoor planters using poly glue, and forgot to put a piece of plastic film under the wood. Poly glue is a bear to remove from the small teeth on the clamp bar!
I'm reminded of the old saying "It's too bad stupidity isn't painful."
