Get a 'floor' model.. Not THAT much more expensive and you will sure find that a table top may not be what you want for some projects.. Well, at least using the table height...
Bench top drill presses can be made more useful by mounting them on the side of a cabinet. That way you can swing the head out and clamp long boards on the side of the cabinet.
As cool as variable speed is, the quill travel on this and many new drill presses seriously comprimises the ability to do a wider range of work. Plus, the lack of a quill lock makes locating holes and other jobs much more complicated.
