anyone try out the sander stand and fence for the bosch belt sander?
any good? or am i better off making my own?

The fence might be useful. But back before I got a belt/disc combo, I used to clamp my belt sander upside down to my workbench with one of those giant handscrew clamps to hold the sander, then a couple quick-grips to hold the handscrew to the bench. It might be less money than their holder, plus you can always use it for other stuff.
If you build it he will come.
