Could use some expertise. Have a Delta 31-255X belt table drum sander (16-32) that is blowing conveyor belt motor breaker at the most inopportune time. I think I’ve tried everything. The problem is that every time this happens the drum continues to sand leaving a burn mark, which requires more sanding to remove. I am not overloading, this happens even when sanding a whisper. The small motor is labeled 1/25th HP. Is there a larger motor available?

Did it used to work well and just started this problem or has it always done this since you got it ?

The condition has gotten progressively worse over time. It seems that another 1/10th of a horsepower would solve this problem.
One likely possibility is that the circuit breaker is bad and tripping too easily or that the motor is clogged with dust and overheating. Something causing the feed belt to drag, perhaps a bad bearing on one of the rollers is also a possible cause.John White

re-set tensioners, replaced belt, seems to have worked. Drag definitely the culprit. Thank you for your input. Patrick O'
