Starting to build some beds. Was lookin at the different types of bedrail attachment types, bed bolts, tapered hooks, and screw on angles. Would like to hear any comments as to what is the strongest joint, but also one that is easy to assembe and disassemble when moving the bed.
Thanks
Steve

Hooks and slots.
I built this one years ago and have slept in it every night since. Still solid as can be and when putting in new carpet and once when painting the room it came apart with ease and was moved and then put back together. If I remember it took a bit of fitting to get it just right and tight enough when I built it but I don't remember it being any big deal.
Now it won't post with the pix. "Taunton Server Problems" I'm going to remove the pix and try to post and then edit on the pix.
Server Problems
Now it won't let me edit on the pix and it won't let me add text. Reported it to Taunton. I'll try pix later
It took over a week but now pix is working again. Here are a couple..
bed hardware
I made a bed years ago using the tapered hook-style bed rail fastener. It worked quite well. But, it might become loose if the bed is moved too frequently. In that case, a traditional bed bolt (with a captured square nut), or a metal cross dowel arrangement might be better.
