I recently purchased a 14″ Delta bandsaw and added a riser. While there is an adjustment bolt to adjust the table to be 90 degrees to the side of the blade , there is no adjustment (I can find) to make the table perpendicular front – to – back of the blade. The blade is off appoximately 1/16 inch in 10 inches. I read somewhere in FW about using shims to correct this but nnow cannot find the article and cannot see how I might do this with my machine. Any help? Thanks

Paige,
First of all, you may not need to make the edge of the blade perpendicular to the table. The only time in needs to be truly square is if you are cutting joints like tenons with the saw, which isn't done in most shops. For ordinary cutting a slight misalignment is actually a small advantage, since the blade enters and exits the work more gradually at the start and end of the cut.
For a slight misalignment you can often simply track your blade a bit off center on the top wheel to bring the blade truly vertical when needed. To actually make a permanent adjustment you would add shims between the bottom of the table and one of the two trunnion castings that are typically attached with three bolts to the table.

Thanks, John.
