Could somebody please explain how bandsaws are sized? I’ve been reading about 14 inch and 18 inch but couldn’t find anything which explains what these dimensions refer to. Thanks!

The dimensions refer to the size of the wheel, which in turn is the depth of cut. For instance, a 20 inch bandsaw has a wheel with a diameter of 20 inches. The distance from the blade to the frame is also about 20 inches.

Thanks, much appreciated.
I've always considered it to be the approximate maximum depth of cut - the distance between the blade and the frame.
My old "20-inch" Inca bandsaw, for example, has a maximum cut depth of about 19.75", and has 11" wheels.
But, your Inca has three wheels. For two-wheel band saws, the size refers to the size of the wheels.
