I have a 12″ Craftsman band saw that I’ve been trying to use lately for resawing. I’m having a problem with the rubber “tire” around my upper wheel slipping out from under the blade and about half-way off the wheel. I’ve tried reversing the rubber tire and it just slips off in the other direction. Any thoughts?

Bandsaw tires degrade over time and need to be replaced. You should be able to get replacement tires from Sears, but you might also want to consider upgrading to polyurethane tires, available from various woodworking supply houses. Carter tires, which are blue, cost about $45 a pair. Generic no-name urethane tires, which are orange, cost about $35 a pair.
Installation note: When you get the tires, they will appear to be much, much too small to fit on the wheels. Don't worry--they're supposed to be that small, as they have to be really tight in order to not come off at speed.

Thanks for your help. I'll check out new tires.Erik
You're definitely due for new tires. Either rubber or urethane will do fine.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into new tires.Erik
If your tire appears to be in reasonable condition, try applying some rubber adhesive and reinstall. It could get you back in operation while you are getting some new tires.
Good luck, Tom.
Tom Good idea. Thanks.Erik
