I realize that baltic birch plywood is used for construction of drawers, millwork, etc. I have detailed 2 kitchens using the exposed baltic birch edge detial with slight chamfer. Very modern but a nice look. I have since been in 2 stores here in Boston (Hold Everything and the Cross Pen Store in Harvard Sq.) which have millwork using this baltic birch tape as edge banding. Upon close inspection, I can see the thickness and have confirmed it is tape at the corners. Obvisously it is not real baltic birch as strips of plywood that thin would fall apart, however the tape I'm thinking of is designed to look like that. Maybe I will post a pic after Turkey Day.
Are you saying that this is banding which, instead of covering the laminates at the edge of plywood, produces the appearance of laminates when applied to, say, MDF?!!
It does exist. It's made by a german company called Dollken.
